Little Bird

7:22 AM 13 Oct 2014

Little bird looking through my window pane
I can hardly believe you are back again

Twittering hopping and turning your head
Asking me for a piece of bread

Your song so lovely your dance a delight
And how wonderful it is to see you in flight

Sing for your bread and dance your jig
Here is your bread and a piece of fig

Your reward is food and a delighted smile
And mine is to be entertained for a little while

I treasure your visits my dear sweet friend
As you return time and again

I will never forget that you trusted me first
And came to me at the dawns burst

Looking through my window pain
Singing and dancing for food again and agian
