Listening To a Man

Listening To A Man

I listen to you talk
You are so intelligent
You know about life
There is not a problem you cannot solve
I have never met a mind like yours
Still you live on the streets
Begging for pennies
Longing to a simple bologna sandwich
No one will help you
Your family turned their backs on you
Their houses are closed to someone like you
The government ignores you
It spends millions on a cup of coffee
But they cannot help you find a home
You are alive but not allowed to live
Still as long as you have your mind you have a life
Someday someone will notice you
They will talk to you
Listen you what you have to say
Even for a moment you will be important
Once again you will be a man
Someone who has the knowledge to save the world
All it takes is someone to listen
