Notes About The Poem

Listen To Him
Jesus told us many things,
Through my heart, His message sings…
His spirit, with me, ever near
Righting wrong, easing fear
He teaches courage to the meek
Offers strength to those who’re weak
His word is bold, a two-edged sword
There are so many reasons He’s adored
He guides the preacher, the best and worst
With a hand so gentle, the least being first
His light shines among those who believe
When we know His grace, we’ll not grieve
He loves each one especially, with perfect love
Sent down from heaven, bright as the sun above
His word is revealed in the least of these
Remember to hear Him, and fall to your knees
He comes to those who simply know He is hope
There is a promise to them who He will teach to cope
His life is a mystery but one puzzle that feeds His sheep
As He answers each prayer with a promise we can keep
He is the blessing in the wind, in the sea and the wood
While some don’t know Him, there are those who’ve understood
His grace is the means that will take believers to glory
With a pen inked by blood, He’s writing an unending story
He is the joy that keeps me singing my song
Faith in the Father has been my reason all along
His love is the foundation of all of my praise
With Him beside me, there is love to amaze
He knows me like no other – every doubt, every prayer
I don’t know how, He gives me a promise I can share
His salvation is complete when I repent of my sins
There is always the promise that His love surely wins
He remembers to give me the kind of friendship I need
With Him writing my story… there is love without greed
His love is my reason – His grace is my life
Thanks to my Jesus, I never feel too much strife
He is in my good morning and He is in my goodnight
Jesus is my King and He’s made everything alright!
