Listen Body

Listen to me my body
I’m talking to you
Don’t you let me down
Or I’ll be leaving you.
I’ll desert you, you know
I’ll leave you alone
I’ll take my spirit from you
You can turn cold as stone.

They’ll take you away
And stuff you up good
They’ll dig a big hole
And a cross they will put.
You’ll be food for the maggots
And worms if you please
You’ll rot and you’ll stink
You’ll bloat and be free
One useless caress
Another life gone
One spirit has left you
It’s life to carry on

So make up your mind
Either you stay or you go
But make no mistake
If you stay
YOU BE WHOLE.
