Listen

It takes more than an ear to listen
Lies are heard with desire
The want deciphers what is heard
Then begins the transformation
Changing what the mind knows
the heart will never accept

This interpretation is cruel
Battering the soul with declarations
that compromise pride
Leaving only emptiness with reality

Time can't heal what wasn't heard
So I want you to listen to me...
and be mindful of the veracity of which I speak
For the mouth sometimes speaks with desire
and my desire is far greater than words

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL TO ME
Like a blossom in a field of barley
You stand alone
and shine under the sun
I want to touch you
and take you away from this place
I want to plant you in a bed of green
A warm bed
My bed
I want to be your pillow

I can not tell you where we will be
Or if where includes me
I can't see tomorrow
Or promise tonight
I can promise this
From my heart to your ear
I WILL ALWAYS LISTEN
