Lisa's Blessing
Lord let me first say thank you for all of my blessings
As each one shone light upon my darkest days
And now, Father, I ask the same for one other
Who will be leaving to go so very far away.
So please bless her with courage
So she will not fear the unknown that lay ahead
And for her to stand strong and to bravely walk tall
Where others will fear to tread.
And also bless her with vision
So she will attain the unattainable goal
And so bless her with your loving kindness, Father
So she will comfort the poorest of souls.
And most of all bless her with abundant love
From those she’ll meet to truly hold dear
And if by God this happens not
Then bring her back where love awaits for her here.
The reason Lord I’ve asked for these blessings
Is that she unknowingly gave something precious to me
So I’ll miss you, Lisa
Because you have been a blessing to me.
