Lipstick

Lipstick on a coffee cup
Perfume on my sheets
Steam upon the mirror
A towel crumpled on the floor
Footprints in my bedroom
Left me pondering
Aching for more
I miss you this morning
Until then my love
I’ll wait by the door

Again, this fantastic imagery really takes me into the poem, and into the scene. Your poetry reminds me of short little film clips. They are mind teasing, interesting and often have a rather dark tone, which I really admire and find intriguing. This one in particular is awesome. This woman, long after she is gone, still lingers, and one still waits.. very cool. Always, Laura
