Lion and Lamb of Myself

The lion in me wants to roar my truth
tearing the invaders apart with her teeth and claws
the lamb in me holds back.
reluctant to show her hooves,
knowing the value of being understated
and waiting before reacting
I hear the lion roar.

I think there is a little of both in all of us. I love the lamb, and I can roar like the lion if I need to.
