Lion
You were looking for another way out
of all of this, without the degrading head dropped
to your chest, you are afraid to look them in the eyes
I guess guilt is like old bones.
I watch the nature channel and listen about
prey who are born afraid
they come out of the womb alert
some are even eating alive the same day.
Thankfully you are an atheist fool who marvels at
his own hands
Then some days you are so spiritual
some days you are neither
We are just proud you didn't come into
the world afraid
We can live with that, because what they
do to you they do to me
And since you are so high strong on your
own hands
Please have something to show for it
You little part time atheist
If you so bent on hell fire have some fun
before you do.
But what if we are already in hell
in the palm of the enemy, so afraid to acknowledge
who will really destroy the world
We look out in the jungle for someone to blame
You ask me to follow a man who gathers sheep
and watch the eyes in darkness of night
Come for us like predators do.
Forgive me for my thoughts
We hang from the sun to give the illusion we
are strong, and we are, but the sheep that follows us
brings out the hungry wild
And humanity is in me to much to be eaten alive.
