Limbo

What remains beyond
lingering breaths, the silence
where laughter once lived?

I wait, counting the number
of days since last you kissed me.

Gosh, sorry I have missed so many of your excellent poems. I picked this one because my mind must be in a sort of limbo - really out there - and you must begin to think I am really crazy. Had I read the title of your contest, and not just the instructions, I would have gotten it. So sorry! Please don't bother to write back. Just forgive me for being so DUH. Have a beautiful Sunday, and thank you for being so nice. Love, Shar xoxo
