Limbo

I feel lost and I feel
Found
I’m cold but
Dripping warmth
My heart stopped beating but
My blood kept flowing
My lungs
Frozen
My breath icy
I’m choking
Suffocating on my own breath

My breath icy
I’m choking
But I can’t die
I cling to life and I dream
Death
My nights awake
With the tide coming in
My heart
A seashell washed ashore
And cracked
Or rather chipped

By my own tide
Yet I am the source

What happened to me?

How did I lose it?

Where did I go wrong?

I am enjoying reading the very diverse poetry here this morning in my Soupland. Words pouring onto paper from poets souls. What a joy to be able to sit and read such wonderful poetry for awhile today. Have a very good day Nasilele. Love, Carol
