Lily Pads Are Protected
ethereal lights shine close to the lily pads
they shrink a bit, afraid of the fey
angels smile, hoping to instill joy
it is a great day for an earth visit
they do not often transmogrify into butterflies
they are monarchs today
faeries and elves wave to them from mushroom villages
they are welcome all along their route
by others who have the ability to hide themselves
