Like Yesterday
Like yesterday...you’re a memory,
As I recall your lovely face.
A sudden pang pierces my heart,
While pondering yesterday’s embrace.
Yesterday’s dew evaporated,
Yesterday’s wind kissed you goodbye.
Yesterday instilled a sorrow,
That will always make me cry.
Yesterday...I had you,
For a moment...not for long.
But just like yesterday my love,
You too...............are gone.
