Like the Rain

Like the rain it's been a long, long, time- I'm beginning to forget what it feels like to feel the sun shine- so much pain every day it's the same thing I've run out of tears before will the storm ever run out of rain? I'm trying to replace all the things that I can't erase from my mind cant yet but ive learned a lot over time, the ups and the downs how everything that gets high, and goes up, sooner or later's gotta come down, just look around, everybody's gone, only the ground to break your fall now, that's 6 feet away from loosing it all soundly? real or insane, you feel like hearing things, it's gotta be your state of mind, cause listen, nobody's calling you're name, shame, she says that I've seen her talkin to angels. hearin that was painful; cause, all I saw, was her - talking to a wall, she's lost it, I've lost her, and I'm exhausted, distorted reality was her choice and this family's what it cost her watch these tears fall watch them, fall from my eyes... just like the rain like the rain See...Ive been going thru some things and I ain't smiled in awhile, In dealing with the pain, I've pushed away those that care Ive been standing in the rain so long, Ive forgotten what the sun feels like, I long for the sunlight. I can't complain when the rain is gone and I'm there alone, with own two feet I chose and traveled to here from home. Oh, and a sinners' saint isn't always their savior- sometimes compassion holds us back but it's a must because we care... Listen. I'll help to pull you through so long as you want the help, cause yes, Ive been a mess before I went through it myself. So when there's nobody left and your out there standing on your own, I promise if you call I'll answer, or leave one at the tone. And if I don't pick up the phone, it doesn't mean that I don't care, Im pulling the weight of two...like you...and sometimes I don't hear it But never fear I'm never too far away, all you gotta do is say it - and baby, I'm on my way until the grave watch these tears fall watch them fall, from my eyes like the rain, like the rain.....
