Like Spring Rain

As day runs it's
course
           from
           dawn
           to
           dusk
We are enthralled by the
          majesty of earth and sky
After a burning sun sinks into shadow
  Nightfall
     when we experience
  delight
             under a canopy of
  starlight
Travelers on a small blue orb
             We dare ask favors
of the universe which has
given us
 life
Stars burn for billionsof years
yet like ourselves - eventually fail
 Our sense of wonder
          is a gift
which gives shape to our dreams
Allows us contact, however brief,
with eternity
