Like Seasons Like People

Why must you look at me that way?
I assure you I'm not that strange
I may be different, but I'm still me
Just like seasons, people change
if you never wanted me to be different
Why did you ask for me to go?
Why did you tell me I had to be better?
It's okay, I already know
I used to be naive and childish
You may have liked me that way
But recently I saw the danger there
And I'm glad I could walk away
Reality has become my environment
Challenges, my shooting range
Disaster has become my playground
Just like seasons, people change

Whoa, this is deep, and it rhymes...an accomplishment for sure. Beautifully written, and quite moving.

How true. Good wording and rhyming in this entry.
