Like Me

Like me.
Taller than the tallest grass.
Happy that way.
Sometimes unhappy, unpleasant.
A giant, evil fish in a stagnant pond.
Is usually a hallucination.
That ripple means nothing.
Like me.

Like me.
A person that is identical but she swims better.
Across the pool, I’ll never make it past the 5 foot mark.
Drowning.
Means nothing anymore.
Like me.

A weird smile.
Like me.

A growl that is more like a hiss.
Like me.

A hand that is cramping up for no reason.
Like me.

A person who used to know how to swim but forgot.
Like me.

Everything I see is…
Like me.
Except the kind person who takes care of a graveyard.
I could never do something like that.
But still, she places a flower there.

Does anyone out there…
Like me?
