Like a Thief In the Night

Like a thief in the night the Lord will come,
calling His people, His children home.
Many folk will be raised up on high,
to that heavenly Paradise up in the skies.

Yet woe to all you who have left it to late,
by not trusting God but relying on fate!
Fate is disastrous for those without trust;
believing in Jesus is simply a must.

There will be moaning and gnashing of teeth,
to those doomed for Hell through their unbelief.
There is only one thing to rescue you then,
to be martyred for God and escape from the den.

Why wait fof that? For the moment is now,
to make amends with a plea or a vow!
'Please forgive me all the wrongs I have done
and grant me new life through Jesus God's son!'
