Like a tattoo
What I long for
Is something as
Sickenly sweet
As people in love.
To have that hold
On someone where
I write them a poem
Only for them
To make it their
Lockscreen, wallpaper
Or anything really.
They might decide
To print it out
So they can
Stick it in a book
Like a little charm
Or put it in the cover
At the back of their phone.
I want to write
Someone a poem
That they will love,
Not because it’s good
But because I
Wrote it for them.
I want someone
Who displays
My version of art
Like a tattoo
Over their heart.
