Like a Small Wild Grass

Like
                          a small
                        wild grass
                      that persists
                          to grow
                           devoid
                      of sunshine
                         and rain..
                     so is a poet
             who persists to write
             sans readers ,sans likers.

oh my, this one is kind of funny to me because I know both good poets and bad writers who are this way, and a few of the bad ones are SO bad that I really wish they could just realize they need to get a new hobby . I like this so much, I am faving you back!

Read. Like. You took a small element of nature and exemplified a human quality, so nicely. Well done. Keep persisting, poet! ~ John

A poet must write and the angst of not being read causes them to sink into their words.

I like your minimalistic approach, but you convey a lot with this poem, beautifully written. I hope all is well. JC Hawkens

Oh...yes! I like this! In the end said poet becomes a bouquet of loveliness! Sometimes it is a struggle to have readers but I keep reaching out knowing that all poets want to be read!
