Like a Rock
Hurt by many, loved by few.
Broken soul that words, cut easily thru.
Lonely nights, no shoulder he returns.
Desire to be wanted, so much that it burns.
Her thoughts linger around in her own head.
Afraid of his demons, she leaves it unsaid.
A woman is not who she feels to be.
More like a monster, his worst enemy.
Her fairytale life of being his wife.
Has crumbled down her mountain
Like fallen rocks up high.
Destroying everything it hits on the way down.
Leaving her dreams, like a rock on the ground.
Kicked around, cracked and in the dirt.
Is her self image, her reflection in the mirror.
