Like a Red Rose Blooms

As the sun beams
My heart screams
The light fades
and i'm lost in space
take me back to when time was young
where we never fought and loved the sun
take me back to when life was simple
to hatred and no dismal
where happiness shown on the faces of young
like the red rose blooms in summer sun
in times of hate we forget out faith
the truth we speak will never take
for the lies we hear take our souls
nothing more but truly old
so speak now and find peace
for the summer sun is out of heat
and the cold winds wash over
the red rose once bloomed
is now faded black
and shattered into two
