Like a Phoenix Rising

LIKE A PHOENIX RISING I had fallen hard many times, times of uncertainties, pain, sorrow, sadness, darkness caused by personal losses of separations, heartbreaks, deaths and financial losses from divorce and real estate fall out and bad investments. Many times, I got up exasperated to shrug off the adversities to step and look forward to keep going. A few times, I stayed in the pit of self-pity and yes, depression and fought hard to get back up again, leave the darkness, step in to the light and look forward to the bright side and wonders of life. Now, I am up there, flying like a Phoenix appreciating everyone I love and finding peace within myself and contentment. A Phoenix looking down and reflecting how those hardships, difficulties, adversities made me stronger, courageous, tenacious. Looking up, expressing my utmost gratitude for rising up from every downfall in my life. 4/25/21 Entered for Your 2021 N - A Choice Poetry William Kekaula Poem was written and judged N/A on 3/30/21 3/30/31 Phoenix Rising Poetry Unseeking Seeker
