Like a Butterfly

I should spread out my wings For the wind to carry me away To a far plush paradise A safe haven for my dreams A place showered by cool rains Which means spring and not storm A place bathed by the warm sun Which means summer and no sweat A place where the wild flowers Bloom in a colorful display A place where the mountains echo The secret song in my heart A place where the soft lush grass Carpets the paths under my feet A place where the gorgeous rainbow Forms a halo over my head Carefree I should be flying Artistically I should be dancing As I savor the cool fresh air Scented with natures fragrance See the energy beneath my wings Observe the grace in my movements Understand the determination within And let me out of this cocoon.
