Like a Bird

I flew, like a bird
Upwards
On winds,light warm
 
Joy in my heart
Below
Fields of rippling green
Above
A sky so blue
It seemed to go on for ever
 
Crossing villages and streams
Chasing the sun
I flew, like a bird
On the strength of my dreams
 
Such beauty
Above and below
On a day, like no other
I flew, like a bird
Wings aglow
 
Clouds
Fresh and new
Let me through
As I flew like a bird
in to the blue
