Lightning Laughs
clouds extend a high five to each other
crowding and swirling
into a gray frenzy
worse than subway pushing
lightning laughs, choosing her tree.
a tall mighty oak, a hundred years old.
In seconds she splits it in half
zapping it with a blast that scares the family inside the house
oozing with power she grins at the clouds
reminding them who is boss
