Lightly Kissed

Misty little droplets
tinted an amber hue,
dribble down a tulip
as trickling drops of dew.
Traces of scarlet blush
are not easily missed,
as if these bashful blooms
had just been lightly kissed.
Yellow drips from the sun
pooling like liquid gold,
gilding satin petals
as they slowly unfold.
Golden beams of sunlight
ink clear translucent cells,
and newly opened buds
morph into waxen bells.
As the morning mist starts
to slowly drift away,
Nature's flamboyant art
gets placed on full display.
