Light Through the Cloud

As I need this time to sit out on the porch
Just a short time even in this mist and cold
I know that you are here even though I can't see

But then I can see your light coming through
The clouds and fog adorning my day
Haven't a chance for I feel the hope of tomorrow

Everything is saturated with moisture but in this mist
There you are a light not the sun but your light
I feel your presence as thick as the fog cloaking me

Though everything is saturated with moisture
Preparing the earth for the heat and dry
Spells of summer even though right now
Summer seems as only a vision of what
Has been or a faint thought of what could be
You are at work with what was planned
Years ago to assure that life goes on and on

Thank you for this experience on the porch
As I go to face the pressures of the day
This will go with me to assure me of your
Presesnce and of your unmeasurable love

(Free Verse since I haven't a clue what else it could be.)(I have been told that when one
can't explain it that it is supernatural and the works of God. That is what I felt when the light
penetrated the darkness.)

My thoughts: light is something penetrating dark which is the void of nothing. The case situation before God created! Many would disagree, saying dark is the opposite of light. But there is no power but that of God(Love). I do this same thing Sara, sit on the porch and muse! Thanks for sharing, Sincerely, love, Moses

This is a beautiful write. feeling the prescence of a force with genuine care for you has an incredible and gentle feel that comes along with it, it just washes over you. and it all goes away. really, your poem is so, beautiful.<: -Always Lynette

"I think that David of the Old testament said, "The Heavens Declare the Glory of God" This poem reminds me of those words... God gives abundant gifts through nature. You have written beautiful poetry, today. (As always...) (Thank you for your kind comments on my work, today.) Lovingly, Dane Ann
