Light the Dark Pond
LIGHT THE DARK POND
fingertips caress still waters
the moon
obscured by clouds
stars dim
the sun rises
glare binds our eyes
blood boils in hellfire
crows gather
teardrops are shed
speak to me of lies
tell me not
that with the night
so too has your love died
