Light of Christ

Simply present, doing nothing, we wait,
poised in the void, focus animated,
presence witnessing in-form nodes gyrate,
feeling joy that cannot be translated.

We would, if we could, share this magnetism,
which pulsates within each and every heart,
making luminous our mind-body prism,
ours for the asking, when God search we start.

Man was born free but now tied to mind’s tree,
light of the soul at our core is ignored,
so unless head and heart with love agree,
of no avail are goals ego has scored.

Rekindle within, threefold flame of Christ,
for which lower mind must be sacrificed.
