Light In the Dark

years later our lives still ignite this spark
that beacon holds us tight in its grip
ever so slowly we make light in the dark

nothing more than an innocent lark
a vision became these passionate trips
years later our lives still ignite this spark

I recall taking care exactly where to park
my emotions for they seemed ready to slip
ever so slowly we make light in the dark

I was nervous and afraid as we embarked
would moonglow be enough to land our ship
years later our lives still ignite this spark

this candor my sweet may seem a bit stark
I need no sun rays to find your lips
ever so slowly we make light in the dark

to live in shadows to withhold remarks
to find solace the right switch to flip
years later our lives still ignite this spark
ever so slowly we make light in the dark
