Light From Darkness

And we dance near the shimmering body of water The moon shone down on us that night Darkness splintered by moonlight In moments of deepest sorrow Light shines down The land is still fertile As are our dreams From the deepest shadows Hope - rays of light - comes forth We won't lose heart All the obstacles will fade away If we persist in our pursuit of peace, joy, and love Light from darkness This must be our creed as we know from experience We must cling to the light and the shadows will retreat from whence they came

Matt, I think you are one of the most positive thinking poets I know!! Loved the imagery in that first part of your poem.
