Light From a Distant Star
Travelers on a small
planet
Above us the universe
Daring to challenge the eternal
We hold our small flag aloft
in the midst of a raging sea
As the eyes of the world
see our situation
Doubt fills us
But then - like a roman candle
a sudden burst of
light!
As we huddle together
Our fires continue to burn
Our faces lit up
with light from a
distant star
Eyes glowing we walk
towards the future
Passing over
seas of sorrow
we catch glimpses
of rainbows from the beyond
Soon we'll know
the sweet sight
Of flowers
bursting into bloom
We'll dance over
raging seas
And when we finally find port
we'll understand,
yes we'll understand
