Light Bleeds Darkness

When the light is blinding Eventually one can only see darkness I used to be righteous And stand up for justice But fighting for justice is hard When injustice is so rampant People are so very droll And I've become a troll My smile has become a smirk And my eyes have become lurid As I open my arms The newest steward of shadows I may never live in the clouds But I'll take my shovel and dig deep When the light is blinding I found sanctuary in the darkness
