Light

The sun doesn't wait for you to rise
It doesn't listen when you ask it to set
But everyday still has a dusk and a dawn
Without the faith of you and the rest

There are times to hide in the shadows
And others to bring your own light
There are times when you need a bit of both
and others that just seem out of sight

Whether a cloudy day or a cloudless night
There will be a new dawn ahead, a new dawn in sight
It will always be there for you, always looking ahead
Even if it's not there, doing exactly when you said

A well-stitched poem. It is woven with both truth and hope...

Why didn't you class your poem as "Light Verse"? You shed some we could all see. Keep writing!
