Lifted On Impact
clouds scraped valleys at the solar eclipse of emotional pain
at the abyss she loosened the brakes of her mental wheelchair
there were no more strings attached to the wheel of life turning
neither safety net nor double bottom only a clown’s lost smile
in the howling wind her own pantomime dispersed vacant echoes
waned Icarus’ molten wings in repercussions of hysterical laughter
showered a dripping soul with storms hailing a moribund future
but the comical comet refused to fall to long dead sparkling stars
thunder rocked and rolled her at the pinnacle of hopeful demise
drenched an anticipation of dream shattered failure and descent
until a single drop of rain scratched blindsight into trickling vision
when she rattled bolting nuts to proceed on her journey she slipped up
down went her invalid carriage and crushed on impacted parting
sent sparks up the cliff and fired resolve as she clung to the edge
with void’s teeth and nails she lost grip of her immanent coffin
paralysis had strengthened her forearm and upwards she climbed
with a stream lubricant shed from her eyes in view of imposed defeat
she oiled her Karma and decided to come back on dolphin’s wings
if she could win over destiny she would make up her own animation
surprised and startled by an eagle she noticed she was able to walk
