Lifted From the Jungle Island

In this place I have played Toiled and stayed. In here I have swam Inside the mire-stinking pool, Pool of misery. I was cloned in this place Kept on wandering among this race With myth hovering my face Like flies buzz on carcass, Helpless carcass… But soon, once, I gained sight. Setting eyes on his glorious might Gave my gloomy soul, glaring light. Surely, this light knows my plight, And had come to give it a fight. All at once, like in trance This miry pool became illusion, Leaving my misery a phantom. Oh, by this light I am lifted Lifted above this jungle place…. Thus, I am freedom!
