Lifetime Romance
I was invited to a party
many years ago.
I thought about it for a while
about a day or so.
Finally I decided, what the heck, I'll go!
What a great decision.
I met my future bride.
Fifty three years have passed since then,
she's still here by my side
and she's still my greatest pride.
Despite our trials and tribulations
throughout these many years,
we've always stuck together
and calmed each others fears.
We cheered each other up whenever there were tears.
Romance was just a story plot
in books and on the Silver Screen.
But it soon would change my way of life,
when I met my "Lifetime Queen".
It then became "My" story plot, if you know what I mean.
