Notes About The Poem

Life's Vicious Game --

Shall we
grate hours in tinge of pale?

Dear Life, let me request,
The tiny stars to dance away
Above the moonlit crest.
Yet longing hands and warm embrace
Can't fill his icy space--
How one-way is this love
As I go falling out of grace.

Yes. Including man as, really, of the animal family, the panorama is hard to understand. War is insanity, so the slaying of animal by animal. Your usual thought provoker, dear nette

You really captured the essence of this challenge. Love the tone of this piece. By the way, I googled that picture first time I saw it, and was amazed to see it called an elephant!! (I think that is what it said)

I love the contemplative spirit of this mighty poem--- something that can't be exactly seen but felt, yet man's savagery exists; poor animals! Your talent is inexhaustible!

So eloquent, Nette. I suppose greed is a dark stain on humanity. I love your interpretation. Good luck my friend:)
