Life's Unspoken Complaints

Thirst burned like fire... but the water was poisoned... If I drank, I’d die—if I didn’t, I’d still die... These two dilemmas remained unsolved throughout life... Neither sleep was complete, nor dreams fulfilled... Time whispered... "If only there was a bit more patience..." Patience replied... "If only there was a bit more time..." Complaints, I have many, against you, O life... But I remain silent because what you gave me— Many never even get that much...
