Life's Trails
Life’s Trails
There are times when life can be so hard
Obstacles come up against us
And the path becomes narrow and ragged
The sky darkens as the rain clouds move in
The sun hides behind the hills
Doubt and confusion enters the mind
The heart starts too wonder
And the brain begins to panic
As the rest of the body follows suit
Tests become more than we can bare
Noises are magnified
And the air becomes thin
We become lost in familiar places
Yet all is not lost
A brighter tomorrow is just around the bend
The good Lord promises to never bring more upon us
Then we can bare
Through struggles we grow
We learn more about ourselves
And the world around us
Strength of character is gained.
