Life's Too Short To Postpone

Life's too short to postpone By Michelle Morris 19/07/2023 I.... am moving on... Today... today... today... Things haven't gotten easier And relationships shouldn't be this hard True love is about give and take It's not meant to cause so much harm We might not know how it happened We have stumbled but we still tried I guess some love stories sizzle out Even though we kept on striving So, today, today, today I'm walking through the door I'm off to find my happiness Life's too short to postpone Yes, today, today, today I'm stepping up for me Time isn't waiting for me to wake up It's time to embrace my freedom Water flows under the bridge Sometimes it's calm, sometimes it's rough Our emotions can become unbearable It seems to hurt to express our love I know you loved me deeply You know I returned your feelings But things became way too complicated We need time to address our healing So, today, today, today I'm walking through the door I'm off to find my happiness Life's too short to postpone Yes, today, today, today I'm stepping up for me Time isn't waiting for me to wake up It's time to embrace my freedom Never think that I'll forget you You'll always be part of my heart But for now I'll love you from a distance We know we need the space apart Forever is a long time But my soul will never forget yours We'll remain connected in the Universe Our love will shine throughout the stars So, today, today, today I'm walking through the door I'm off to find my happiness Life's too short to postpone Yes, today, today, today I'm stepping up for me Time isn't waiting for me to wake up It's time to embrace my freedom I.... am moving on... Today... today... today... © Michelle Morris, 2023
