Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

Life's Roulette

verdict awaiting the flip of a coin
withered in cold november winds
your eyes devoid of luster
has life teetering on the edge

a spin of the roulette
straight up
inside bets
against the odds

remind us
the head croupier
up in the sky
is the one
calling all the shots

Yes, God calls all the shots but only good and perfect gifts come from above. I don't think gambling is one that God worries about for He knows a person will make their own bed and lie in it when they gamble. Sara

Yes, God calls the shots..He is a good, merciful God but He does get tired of a person who claims to be His child going in the wrong direction then He issues out the punishment. Sara

Thanks, Sara ~ I changed my photo so the metaphor of life would be more prominent because it's not about gambling at all ~ thanks for the nudge
