Abe Lopez Poet Couplet

Life's Journey

Born in 1973, it’s the year I begin 
This evolution of shedding skin

Finished High school, an 80’s journey
Experienced art, science, and a teenage honey

Went to college to become a teacher
Now to my students, I’m the art preacher

I’m married with a great family 
I thank God for them daily

With each life changing moment
Maturing through love and torment

Every morning my day begins 
Living a new and shedding old skins
