Lifes Experience
As I’ve traveled down this “road of life”,
I have matured and grown!
I’ve seen so many wonders,
that before, I’d never known!
So many of lifes experiences,
I can’t count the ones I’ve had!
Most of them, were fairly good,
but, I must admit, that some were bad!
Seeking out, the truth and beauty,
taking time to feel the sun!
Savoring every moment, that I could,
making sure to walk - not run!
I strove for peace and justice.
I found hope, in what could be.
I sought the wonder and the joy,
that set my spirit free!
I was careful, making choices.
I kept my goals in sight.
I did not regret, did not look back!
I just knew, when things were right!
I treasure friends and family,
of which I am a part.
They helped, to make me who I am,
I keep them always in my heart!
Yes, life’s been quite a challenge
and at times when hope seemed gone,
I kept the faith, and knuckled down,
and was able to go on!
I thanked the good Lord, every day,
and prayed He’d see me through,
and whether or not I succeeded,
it’s what I had to do!
Experience is the catalyst,
that will provide, if you believe,
the strength, courage, and confidence,
to sustain what you achieve!
