Life's Disappointments

Up and down, all around, my head spins at every sound. My emotions show in my face, all caused by life's big race. Happiness is limited, sorrow mostly exhibited. Not much joy in my life, all I feel is pain and strife. Everyday is dark and gray, I smoke it all away, much to my friends' dismay. I hurt myself till I bleed, my friends dread the awful deed. I used to feel like I was on top, now I just wish it'd all stop.

Hi Roxanne. Hope these days find you better than this poem. We all go through dark times, before finding the light - actually an endless cycle really of both, which is called life. Needed to stop by to thank you for your most thoughtful comment on my blog. If you knew how every word helps, you would know how much it means to me. Even though your kitty was not with you for long, I am so sorry for your loss, too. You are very kind. I am always here too. This comes with love. Hugs, shar xoxo
