Anoucheka Gangabissoon's Contest: In The Cycle Of Existence ...Submitted 29 Nov 24
This urge to exhale without restraint
into the softness and hardness of days heightens;
my own center accepting those lapses
when our frail bodies can readily perish
amidst borrowed seasons :
yes, you are weary;
How mournful the thieving of dear life rips,
as I blame the ticks which pluck you
from a bed of courage, from untold confessions---
a final rest grabbing you before me.
Yet, holy moments past relieve love's woe,
and grant your finality its closure:
I envy the winds holding you more
than my arms could ever seize --
that forever reigns beyond illness,
beyond earthly limitations
from beginning to never ending:
Somehow, intimacy becomes part of separation.
