Life's Breathtaking Cliffs
Life's Breathtaking Cliffs
From a distant path,
I was wet soaked,
Doubtfully perhaps I can reach,
Though the direction unknown,
The assurance shaky and loose,
But just the same I have to take.
The moment I reached the peak,
All sorts of fear subdues me
Not so afar darkness sets,
Every strength bravely mustered
No matter where fate awaits
It does not matter at all.
Now the breathtaking ascension,
I could breath the salty sea,
Feel the cold breeze and showers,
Although up nearing, slowly
My fears always envelope
The undying multitudes disdained.
My waning self-confidence I held
But, though, I kept on turning my sight back,
I questioned myself, could there be a return back?
The life's breathtaking cliffs
Unto the unknown deeply entrenched.
For them who succumb
To momentary happiness,
Every sip of joy
And never thought the experience they lead to
Alcohol, drugs, addiction and flesh,
Unaware of the devil's omen to them.
On the other hand, on love forsaken
Can't anymore saved as both are drowned with sorrow and hate,
The tender moments shared are now garbage of today.
Somehow, before you won't want disturbed
As lover's passion engulf both,
In the end snapped in migraines.
Life's breathtaking retraction, indecision, misdirection, unabated joy,
boredom, hopelessness and selfishness.
All in one life's breathtaking cliffs
A destiny we made
I pray we survive.
