Life's a Roller Coaster Ride

Hard to fathom what makes us tick
We're all unique as they say
One person loves rock and roll music
Another loves Sammy Kaye

Was always a true Glenn Miller fan
And big bands of the 40s and 50s
Vocalists like Sinatra and Como
And Frankie Laine was also nifty

WOW! Am I living in the past or what
With crinolines and saddle shoes
Terribly miss these much simpler times
Suffering from a case of the blues

Guess each generation misses their past
When things were a lot more fun
This roller coaster ride can get us down
Just enjoy your day in the sun

Must be realistic and accept the future
With all of it's scary unknowns
If you approach it with a great big smile
You'll wonder where the years have flown

I'm WAY too busy watching pigeons to think about the years! Now, I'm wondering where Dragon's pigeons are. They always show up right after I hose off my back porch. Think they have a spy watching! They're VERY intelligent! Really! Yesterday I told them they were unveiling a new statue in the park, and they didn't fly off to crisson it! Think I've said that once too often! In the heat they love water. Think they're staying close for my new super dooper bird bath. Yep! Fill it and they will come!

Yep! Filled it and there be incoming! Run for your umbrellas!... And hide your selfie sticks! I think they're in competetion to become the center fold of Pigeon Weekly! They've even been borrowing Dragon's make up and nail polish! And he's giving them lessons on how to strut their stuff! As IF they needed lessons... LOL!

I totally agree with Dave's comment below. SMASHING poem, and spot on. I think that you will live on forever in everyone's heart and soul dear friend. LOOK up the poem I wrote last night and posted.
