Life's a Paradox

What’s life but a kaleidoscopic swirl of mirages Churning transitory memories, Fleeting moments in perennial time. If only I could bring back those willful days of youth When the sun shone bright all my ways, When the nights were a fair field to sow daring dreams and days dawned to reap them at whim. My life spread its wings for miles unseen and flowers bloomed all the way umpteen. Now, I dread the break of day Aimless upon my bed I just lay I mull over many a bygone day and stress over that fateful day When a new day with all its glory to share come looking for me… And I will not be there! ~05/26/19
